I Can Has Books?

Wow, I haven't really been faithful to this whole blog thing now have I. I had every intention to review all books I read, but honestly some I just haven't really had much to say about and my reading has been kinda slow. I'll attempt to make regular or at least semi-regular posts.

Lover Awakened by J.R. Ward My rating: 4 of 5 stars Oh my this book, frustration, frustration, frustration. I wanted to yell at Z, "stop trying to push Bella on to your brother, its you she loves" I understand that he didn't feel good enough for her, he felt ruined and contaminated but it was still he that she loved. I felt so bad for him, such a tragic past it's no wonder he acted the way that he did but I still I wished he would tell her he wanted/needed her. I know he was too scared, which is funny because to everyone else he was the scary one. Poor Thor, I can't believe Wellise is dead. She was the last person I thought who would be killed, my eyes teared up when she died. Thor new something happened even when he didn't know. I love how the author made him get all funny and dizzy. Lover Eternal by J.R. Ward Pages: 441 My rating: 4 of 5 stars This is the second book in Black Dagger Brotherhood series and much better then the first one, although I have been told that book 1 was the weakest of the series. I really really enjoyed the characters in this book. Especially Rhage and Zsadist. Rhage isn't just a pretty face who is all about himself, getting what he wants, at least not anymore, there are reasons for is actions. And there is so much potential to be had with the Zsadist story I can't wait to get into it.

Milkrun by Sarah Mlynowski My rating: 2 of 5 stars P. 281 What can I say about this book? It was okay, a nice entertaining read. It made me chuckle, so that's a plus. I was kinda hoping for more at the end of it, not that I wanted to read more of it. I was hoping she would end more of a stronger individual, but in the end she still appeared to me as being exactly the same way as she started. So I probably won't be rushing out anytime soon for anything else by this author.

Ecstasy by Jacquelyn Frank My rating: 4 of 5 stars This is the first book in Jacquelyn Franks newest series Shadowdwellers, it seams to have a lot of connections to her other series Nightwalkers, which I personally have yet to read. Did not reading those affect my enjoyment of the book? NO, but I am definitely planing on on reading the other series. I really like the storyline of this book, I am looking forward to checking out the rest of the series,

Jewels of the Sun by Nora Roberts My rating: 4 of 5 stars Pages: 347 Whats not to love about a romance novel set in Ireland? Shy unsure of herself Jude Murry takes off from her life in Chicago to find herself, her destination Faerie Hill Cottage in Ireland. What she finds is good friends, tradition, family, love, romance, and most importantly who she really is. Jewels of the Sun is my first Nora Roberts book and I was not disappointed what so ever.

Beyond the Highland Mist by Karen Marie Moning My rating: 3 of 5 stars So I decided not to throw this book at the wall even though at times I really really wanted to. This book was such a frustrating read I just wanted to slap everyone involved. The concept of the story I liked but boy oh boy the characters where not that likable, at times yes I didn't mind them. I couldn't connect at all to them, I'm thinking the lack of connection was due to how they where written. I'm hoping the rest of the series is better. I have heard that this was her first book and that many people have had issues with it, so I will read the next book in the hopes that there will be some kind of improvement.
