Right Now (Moments, #2) by Marie Hall

Image
Right Now by Marie Hall My rating: 4 of 5 stars Copy received for review via Netgalley. Right Now takes place just shortly after A Moment ends. Ryan and Lili are still around and we get see more of their happily ever after but this story, is the story of Alex. Alex, can get any girl he wants. And he's had too many to count. But it's getting old, boring and well it's not really working for him anymore. His longest relationship lasting a week. Using sex as away to cope, with his issues. He doesn't want to live like this. After deciding to listen to his fortune cookie, "Be opposite" he takes his first step in that direction and into Zoe Stone's world. Zoe, (is probably one of the coolest characters I've read in awhile by the way), works at a tattoo parlor. Dubbed the ice queen by her best friend Jamie she doesn't really date much, not that she doesn't like to she just isn't boy crazy and her hearts really only belonged to one guy ever an...

A Moment (Moments, #1) by Marie Hall

Image
A Moment by Marie Hall My rating: 4 of 5 stars Ryan is a local fighter, an ex Marine with a secret so dark it haunts him almost nightly. Especially on Valentines Day, that is the one day of the year he goes out and drinks and drinks, hoping to drown away the pain. He is so broken, he thinks he is beyond repair. Lili, a single mother and collage student, has had a hard life. Her mother is dying, her son, 7 is autistic and she feels that she doesn't love her. She's trying her best to take care of both of them while working and going to school. She doesn't really get time for herself, doesn't make time for herself. Ryan thinks he can't be fixed, Lili hopes to be the one to fix him. But the fear of last Valentines Days is always there in the back of her mind, is he  too broken for her to try. While I enjoyed reading A Moment, somethings felt like they were missing. Just a few things I would have liked to see addressed. They weren't major story altering thi...

After Math by Denise Grover Swank

Image
After Math by Denise Grover Swank My rating: 4 of 5 stars Scarlett, is a math major, she also tutors in the lab when not in class. She  wants more out of her life then what she came from. She doesn't want to end up like her family, she wants to make something of herself. She doesn't have time for boys. And whenever someone has been interested she doesn't feel that she could actually feel for anyone, in her mind she's broken. On top of feeling broken inside she has social anxiety , the one thing that keeps her relaxed is doing math. Because with math there are rules to follow everything is kept neatly in it's own little box. Tucker, in university on a soccer scholarship, needs to keep his grades up in order to keep it. Math being the area he is in need of help with,  and it's Scarlett who has been asked tutor him. On top of being a soccer superstar, he is loud, cocky, self destructive and a bit of a man whore, at least that's what he shows on the outsid...

Rebecca by Adam J. Nicolai

Rebecca by Adam J. Nicolai My rating: 4 of 5 stars ~Warning Spoilers ahead~ Imagine growing up thinking that there was something wrong with you? You were cursed, had a demon inside of you? And imagine that you   prayed every night for eight years for God to make you good, not a sinner, to make you not gay! Because you can't be gay?? Because your faith, your God, your pastor, your church, your mother says it's wrong. Gay people are wrong and they are cursed, they will go to hell! You are wrong, you are going to hell!! Sarah had big dreams, she was going to Yale. That was until she got pregnant and had baby Rebecca. A baby she doesn't really want, a baby that shouldn't have happened, because she shouldn't have been with Cal. Cal, is a homophobic jerk who Sarah ran too. Ran from Tiff, her best friend, who everyone knew was gay. Her best friend that she loved but was to scared, ashamed to tell. So she ran to Cal, to hide who she was, because being with Cal...

Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between (Rhiannon's Law #1) by J.A. Saare

Image
Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between by J.A. Saare My rating: 5 of 5 stars Rhiannon is great, she has this take no shit attitude. Which is her mask, her wall so to speak. She has a lot hidden things in her past, she's gone through so much pain. At first I wasn't a fan of how she treated and acted around Disco, but as the story went on things changed, her trust grew. Her lack of trust is understandable based on her past and well because hello vampire. Speaking of Disco, hello new book boyfriend. Loved this book, great start to what I hope will be a fantastic series. And the ending, wow. Soooo can't wait to read the next book. View all my reviews

Abandoned Angel by Kayden Lee

Abandoned Angel by Kayden Lee My rating: 4 of 5 stars Where do I begin. This book made me feel so many different emotions. From complete disgust and pure hate to breaking my heart. There were moments when I physically felt ill because of the abuse in this book, I was scared for Angelina and my heart ached for her. At times I would think why am I continuing, this is just too much. But I had to, I was on edge, Kayden Lee held my attention from the very start. I will definitely be checking out her other books once they are released. View all my reviews
