Full Blooded (Jessica McClain, #1) by Amanda Carlson

Image
Full Blooded by Amanda  Carlson My rating: 4 of 5 stars *Warning the following review may contain spoilers, proceed with caution. You have been warned.* Jessica is the only female werewolf because females weren't meant to change, she shouldn't exist, she was a mistake. When she was born the pack wanted her father, the Alpha, to kill her because they were scared of an ancient myth,   "As a female in Wolf Skin rises, the unborn Daughter of Cain is born; In her the beast shall lie, well hidden in True Form; And from this day forth, the Wolves of the Night shall pay; Blood and flesh of their bones, her mighty hand shall slay; The end of the race will close at hand; When the Daughter of Evil rules the land. " When she never made the change an puberty, when all others did they thought she was safe, that she didn't have gene in her. She thought she was safe from it as well. Wanting to remove herself from that life she moves away assumes a new identity Molly Ha...

Werewolves Be Damned (Magic & Mayhem, #1) by Stacey Kennedy

Image
Werewolves Be Damned by Stacey Kennedy My rating: 3 of 5 stars Nexi is on a mission, to find the wolf that got away. The wolf that did not die at the guardians hands, after the rogue pack murdered her parents. She will never forget that wolf, she will find it and kill it. After the murder of her parents Nexi's life is tossed upside down. Everything that she knew of the world, herself has changed. Not all things are what they seem. There are supernatural beings from the Otherworld who cross over, but to a mere mortal they just appear to look just like every other person. Nexi is connected to these beings in way she could never dream of. Both her real parents are from that world. Her father is a guardian her mother was a witch. Giving her the abilities of both, something that has never happened in the past. The death of her adoptive parents have not been the only murders that have been happening across the country, other people have been killed at the hands (paws?) of other...

A Tale of Red Riding: Rise Of The Werewolf Huntress by Neo Edmund

A Tale of Red Riding: Rise Of The Werewolf Huntress by Neo Edmund My rating: 4 of 5 stars Owoooooooo! Who's that I see walkin' in these woods? Why, it's Little Red Riding Hood. Hey there Little Red Riding Hood, You sure are looking good. You're everything a big bad wolf could want. Listen to me. When I first settled down to read this book, Little Red Riding Hood by Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs, popped into my head. When you read the title and blurb you get an image in your head of what you think the tale is going to be about, now take that idea and remove it from your head. Expect the unexpected. What I thought this was going to be and what I read where two different things, and well that's not a bad thing. This could have went two ways, a flop because you have to be careful when working with something that is based on the fairytale or anything that's already in the public mind. Or it can be fantastic and different. It was the latter. We have Red (...

Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris

Image
Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris My rating: 3 of 5 stars So I go and pick up this book, I'm pumped. So very excited to be getting back to Sookie and Eric ( wipes drool off my chin). So picture if you will, I have the bottle of red open. I am all cozy and set to read. I stop and go "hmmm". Shake it off as the normal okay we are at the start of the book lets recap for those who might not remember. So I take some more sips and continue on. Stopping yet again, I go "hmm, um, yeah". We are hitting somewhere past the 100 mark and I'm getting a little worried, did I pay for a book that is just recap, recap, recap, filler words to take up space, recap?? I"m starting to think I did. Then FINALLY we start to get somewhere, it only took the better part of the book to do so, but at this point I'm happy and looking forward to the action. And next thing I knew it was over and I was left lying here feeling used and very unsatisfied. I don't want to say this...

I Kissed a Dog (Werewolves of the West, #1) by Carol Van Atta

Image
I Kissed a Dog by Carol Van Atta My rating: 4 of 5 stars Chloe Carpenter has a unique ability she can communicate with animals, not in words so much, but she can read the thoughts as a series of images. An ability that she doesn't really know the full extent off. Until one day she hears the thoughts of the very sexy, yet annoying (to her) newest co-worker. Dr. Zane Marshall is new to Plum City Wildlife Park who has his special ability, other then being the rescuer of Chloe, he is a werewolf. He's been sent there to check out the murders that have been taking place to young males between the ages 18 and 35. Thinking someone who he knows, but someone he doesn't want anything to do with, is the reason behind them all. There is so much promise for this series, but I won't lie there were parts that irked me. A little slow starting but once you get into it, it is very gripping with a nice little twist and a 'Wow I never saw that coming!' moment. The ending in parti...

Pleasure Unbound (Demonica, #1) by Larissa Ione

Image
Pleasure Unbound by Larissa Ione My rating: 4 of 5 stars 4 and 1/2 stars. I must explain why I never gave it full 5 stars. The start I wasn't really sure how much I was going to enjoy it. When Tayla was called a buffy, I thought it was cute. But I'm not going to lie after it was used a few times over it did get a tad annoying, hey I love buffy but it felt overused at the start. Which is something that was making me unsure about the book. Made me wonder if things were just going to be repeated over and over. Also I just wasn't feeling it, at one point I thought maybe I should put this aside and read it again at a later date, funny I know seeing how I devoured it once I got into it. Once I hit the 65 pageish mark I couldn't get enough of it. I would sit and get like 20 pages read before I would notice that I had. Glad I stuck with it because this book was fantastic and I'm looking forward to reading more of this series and the authors writing. View all my reviews...
