Mary Stuart, is twelve years old, she is quite contrary, she is not a very likable child, her attitude is horrid. Quite Contrary starts out with Mary going to a Halloween party in an old abandoned house. It is there that the hostess shows her party goers a crawl space she had discovered. And it is Mary's venture into said crawl space that we get to journey into this bizarrely dark and twisted tale. On her way through the crawl space she meets a rat, a rat who can speak. His name is Rat-in-boots even though he doesn't own any boots. At the end of the crawl space they end up in some kind of industrial part of town, Mary get's covered in some kind...

A Prescription for Delirium by Noree Cosper My rating: 4 of 5 stars What a fantastic fantastic book. Very dark and visual. I was completely engrossed in the story, the author has did a great job. Very well written. Gabriella is a demon hunter, and she can read the auras around not only people but places as well. She can see demons and apprehensions where others can't. She is cursed, she can't not die. She's been around for long long time, long enough to have promised to protect the family of the man she loved, the Van Helsings. The three remaining brothers are have their own special abilities. Together with help from others can she finally keep her promise and defeat the devil, and keep her mind at the same time. The Night Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko My rating: 4 of 5 stars This book makes you ask questions and ponder things like, what is truth. It makes you think, while neatly wrapped up in the world of magics, light and dark. Destiny, are all things known, can you change it? Your actions maybe able to bend things, or at least lead you to believe they do when in the grand scheme of things, you are just a mere little player, a pawn. The Night Watch was a fantastic book, I enjoyed that it was broken down into 3 stories within. But all 3 played an important role to the next. Much like life, we don't just keep going non stop, we take our breaks, we sleep, season change. The things we have done in the past tend to effect the events in the future. View all my reviews
