The Underlighters by Michelle Browne My rating: 1 of 5 stars I was given a copy of this for an honest review. I didn't enjoy this book, I'm sorry. The idea was interesting but the execution was not done well. I found myself getting easily bored and distracted when reading it. The characters never interested me in the least. They fell flat and I really could have cared less for them. I really not a fan of saying negative review. Doesn't mean I haven't but just something I don't tend to enjoy. It wasn't for me, I had hoped it would be. I love post apocalyptic stories. And this one seemed like it would be different then the others of the genre that I have read with the crossover elements of scifi and horror. There is potential for this, I will say that. The author has came up with an interesting idea and story. But I think it needs tweaking, something to actually keep the readers attention. So again sorry. View all my reviews

Dream Caster by Najeev Raj Nadarajah My rating: 5 of 5 stars First of all I want to say thank you to Najeev Raj Nadarajah for gifting me a copy of Dream Caster thus giving me the chance to read and review your book, and wow what a book it is. I see big things for Najeev, and this series. I can only hope that more and more people find out about this book and this author. I completely loved it. What can I say it is unique, fantastic, wonderful, amazing. Those are just some of the words I could use when talking about this book. Very well written, with many humors moments, I found myself laughing out loud quite a few times. The characters are so likable. Naajeev has put so much thought in not just the main character but his supporting cast as well. He hasn't just written them in for the sake of doing so, they are not flat and could potentially have stories of their own to be told. Dell is definitely a favorite of mine. Outside In by Maria V. Snyder My rating: 4 of 5 stars A little slow starting for me, but I think that was just because the first bit was talking about the events of Inside Out . Which to someone who hadn't read the first book recently that would be fine, but as I had only finished that book not that long ago it made the story creep along. I just wanted to get into the action of it. And when the action did start I was engrossed in it. I was left just as confused as Trell, I didn't know who was telling the truth and who wasn't. Inside Out by Maria V. Snyder My rating: 4 of 5 stars 4 1/2 stars. I haven't really read many dystopian novels, so this was a nice change for me. When I had first started I was unsure if I was going to like it but as I got further into it I hooked. Trella, the "Queen of the Pipes" as her fellow srubs call her, did not believe that there was something else, something/place better, the gateway as they call it. In her mission to prove it's non-existence or even existence, meets Riley, an upper, and discovers that what she has always believed isn't what it seems. Still some stones uncovered, really looking forward to reading the next book. Definitely a book I can see me re-reading, need to pick up physical copy. View all my reviews
