Speak Easy (Speak Easy, #1) by Melanie Harlow

Image
Speak Easy by Melanie Harlow My rating: 4 of 5 stars I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review. Tiny wants more out of life, she works for her father bootlegging whiskey from Canada, and has to take care of her younger sisters. Something she's been doing ever since her mother passed away. She wants more, she wants to be a nurse and is saving up all her money for school. She's strong willed and isn't afraid to butt heads. She's the kind of leading lady that I enjoy. Enzo is sexy as they come and just as dangerous. He's a gangster and the son of a powerful mob boss. The same gang that is messing with Tiny's father. She knows that she shouldn't feel the attraction to him but sometimes you want what you can't have or what you know you shouldn't have. Joey has been a friend of the O'Mara family since childhood, he's grown up a lot since Tiny had seen him last and never did she think she would catch herself thinking about him in...

Full Blooded (Jessica McClain, #1) by Amanda Carlson

Image
Full Blooded by Amanda  Carlson My rating: 4 of 5 stars *Warning the following review may contain spoilers, proceed with caution. You have been warned.* Jessica is the only female werewolf because females weren't meant to change, she shouldn't exist, she was a mistake. When she was born the pack wanted her father, the Alpha, to kill her because they were scared of an ancient myth,   "As a female in Wolf Skin rises, the unborn Daughter of Cain is born; In her the beast shall lie, well hidden in True Form; And from this day forth, the Wolves of the Night shall pay; Blood and flesh of their bones, her mighty hand shall slay; The end of the race will close at hand; When the Daughter of Evil rules the land. " When she never made the change an puberty, when all others did they thought she was safe, that she didn't have gene in her. She thought she was safe from it as well. Wanting to remove herself from that life she moves away assumes a new identity Molly Ha...

At Grave's End (Night Huntress, #3) by Jeaniene Frost

Image
At Grave's End by Jeaniene Frost My rating: 5 of 5 stars Another fantastic book in ever growing fantastic series. Spike ;) I mean Bones is just as perfect as ever. James Marsters is MY Bones. I could gush about   Jeaniene Frost s Night Huntress books. They just get better and better. At Grave's End delivers as promised, it is intense, action packed. HOT! Humor filled, and heartbreaking.  It didn't disappoint. We get to meet some great and not so great figures of importance. (view spoiler) [Good ol' Drac himself, just don't call him that. ;) (hide spoiler) ] . I DO have some issues with some characters, or rather character, Tate. I'm over his "feelings" for Cat, dude needs to realize she is happy with Bones and time to move on. Yeah I know it's not going to be easy watching someone you love happy and in love with some else, especially when that someone else is someone hate. But it is what it is and Tate needs to find a nice girl all ...

Chased by Moonlight (Moonlight, #2) by Nancy Gideon

Image
Chased by Moonlight by Nancy Gideon My rating: 5 of 5 stars Book one was fantastic and book two did not disappoint at all. I couldn't put it down, any chance I got read I took it. We pick up were we left off in CeeCee and Max's relationship. Which is still a rather odd pairing, shifter mob boss and a human cop. I can't wait to see more of their tale unfold. We get more of Max's story in this one, which is rather interesting, and I am soooo looking forward to reading the rest of this series. View all my reviews

One Foot in the Grave (Night Huntress, #2) by Jeaniene Frost

Image
One Foot in the Grave by Jeaniene Frost My rating: 5 of 5 stars Book two of Jeaniene Frosts Night Huntress series, does not disappoint. You want action, HOT bedroom scenes, a sexy British vampire, then this book is for you. I still picture Spike as Bones, even if he isn't a peroxide blonde. But I tend to place James Marsters as leading man in a lot of my books ;) View all my reviews

Daughter of Smoke and Bone (Daughter of Smoke and Bone, #1) by Laini Taylor

Image
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor My rating: 4 of 5 stars I really liked this book, original and different. The second half dragged a little for me. But over all the story was great. REALLY looking forward to the next book. Karou isn't a normal teenager, she is talent artist, speaks multiple languages and was raised by what we call "demons". She constantly feels like there is something missing and alone. Until she meets Akiva, a handsome yet deadly angel, a solider, and enemy. As the pieces fall into place and the secrets are reviled. Can she ever really with him? This is a story of star-crossed lovers, war, wishes and hope. View all my reviews

Black Unicorn by Tanith Lee

Image
Black Unicorn by Tanith Lee My rating: 4 of 5 stars Yet another great book by Tanith Lee, this is the fourth book of hers that I have read, and I have yet to be disappointed. Black Unicorn is a story, about a young girl, Tanaquil, who is bored and lonely. She feels her mother, who is powerful sorceress, has no time for her. Her father she knows nothing of him, she has never known him. She can mend things, everything she fixes, never breaks. One day with the help of peeve,( cat like animal) she discovers a bunch of bones in the desert. Puts them together to discover it's a unicorn, which comes to life. Tanaquil seems to have this connection with it, or it to her. And chases after it one night, which is the start of her adventure. I could go on, and tell more, but I believe this book should be read and the reader should see the story for themselves. View all my reviews

Oh, Cherry Ripe by Claudy Conn

Image
Oh, Cherry Ripe by Claudy Conn My rating: 4 of 5 stars I rather enjoyed this story. Cherry is a strong spirited heroine, I loved the banter and playfulness between both her and Sky. I will admit some things had me laughing when I'm not particularly sure they where meant too. View all my reviews

Inside Out (Insider, #1) by Maria V. Snyder

Image
Inside Out by Maria V. Snyder My rating: 4 of 5 stars 4 1/2 stars. I haven't really read many dystopian novels, so this was a nice change for me. When I had first started I was unsure if I was going to like it but as I got further into it I hooked. Trella, the "Queen of the Pipes" as her fellow srubs call her, did not believe that there was something else, something/place better, the gateway as they call it. In her mission to prove it's non-existence or even existence, meets Riley, an upper, and discovers that what she has always believed isn't what it seems. Still some stones uncovered, really looking forward to reading the next book. Definitely a book I can see me re-reading, need to pick up physical copy. View all my reviews

The Raven Prince (Princes Trilogy #1) by Elizabeth Hoyt

Image
The Raven Prince by Elizabeth Hoyt My rating: 5 of 5 stars 4 1/2 stars. This was my first Elizabeth Hoyt and won't be my last. Over all this book was very funny, and very very hot. I was going to say steamy but that would just be an understatement. Blush factor very high. I enjoyed Anna, she was very witty and fun. I found there little game of pass the book to be rather cute. I was however taken back a little by how vulgar some of the conversations/thoughts were, just because it's not what I'm used to reading in historical romances. Not saying that it was a bad thing just took me off guard. View all my reviews
