The Reason I Jump: The Inner Voice of a Thirteen-Year-Old Boy with Autism by Naoki Higashida  Translated by  David Mitchell   My rating: 3.8 of 5 stars   I used to be afraid that as long as I had autism, I'd never be able to live properly as a human being So The Reason I Jump is look inside the mind/thoughts/life of a person living with autism. In this particular book, it is of a 13 year old Japaneses boy, who for the ages seems to be very insightful and mature. I see from some other reviews there is some doubt as to the legitimacy of this book, and to be honest it is really understandable.  There have been incidents in the past that have given reason to doubt. I for one am choosing to believe in this particular book. Why you ask? Well why not? Mama, Do You Love Me? by Barbara Joosse My rating: 4 of 5 stars Mamma, Do You Love Me? is a wonderful story about a little girl testing her mother to find out how far show could go and how much she can push her limits to see if her mamma will still lover her. Her mother through this also discovers that even when she would be angry, sad or scared no matter what she will always love her little girl. On top of this we the reader are introduce to another cultures history we might not necessarily know much about, through both the words in the story and illustrations. One thing I really liked about this story, besides it being a mother/daughter book about their love of the other is the little index at the back telling us about the individual things mentioned. Naked in Death by J.D. Robb My rating: 4 of 5 stars I have been meaning to start this series for a while now. I have read a few of Nora Roberts books in the past and had liked them, so chances were good that I was going to enjoy her writing under the name J.D Robb. And I was correct. I mean whats not to like, we have a psychological thriller set in the future, yes there is "romantic" moments, well to be honest there was sex and the build up to potential romantic relationship. It's the year 2023, guns have been banned and are illegal, prostitution is a legal and one must register to become a companion. Eve is the primary investigator on what seems to be a "Jack the Ripper" type killer. But there is more then just murder going on, it's not as simple as that. I really like both Eve and Roarkes character both together and on their own. I'm happy with the way each have been presented to the reader. Not giving away to many of their secrets all at once ...
