The Inventor's Secret by Chad  Morris My rating: 4 of 5 stars From blurb: Imagine a school in the year 2074 where students don’t read history, but watch it happen around them; where running in gym class isn’t around a track, but up a virtual mountain; and where learning about animals means becoming one through an avatar. Abby and Derick, twins who are about to start their new school year at Cragbridge Hall. A school that is the most prestigious schools around, in the world even. A school that their grandfather founded. You see he's this major Major inventor, creating one of the best inventions to date, the Bridge, it lets you see history as it happens. So for this school you got to be pretty darn special and advanced to get into it. And well for Derick that's nothing he never fails at anything he does. He has the grades. The Demented Adventures of Princess Pertties by K.D. Montgomery My rating: 3 of 5 stars Pertties thinks she is just a normal girl, well normal enough. She has no idea who she is or where she came from, she has no memories except for the past 5 years. After being discovered on the side of the road at the age of 11 by the man, who now with his wife, are taking care of her. The only thing connecting her to who she is, was a silver bracelet with her name on it, Pertties. That and the nightmares.. She goes to school and has a job at the towns only fast food restaurant, she's saving up. She's going to get out of this small town one of these days. Falling into the earth into what appeared to be an underground city wasn't exactly what she had in mind. With the help of Demented, a troll, and apparent friend from the past. They escape the underground city and the evil enchantress and onto to adventure. I enjoyed this book, I found it well written and interesting. When Pertt...
