My Little Pony: Pony Tales Volume 1 by Thom Zahler My rating: 3 of 5 stars Review copy via NetGalley My Little Pony: Pony Tales Volume 1 is a graphic novel that consists of 6 stories, each individual story having a different pony as the focal point. Each story ending with a letter to Princess Celestia with a lesson they have learned. Cute, funny and adorable is what I could call this graphic novel on a whole.BUT that being said it really isn't meant for the younger fans, it is obvious the graphic novel is aimed at the older fan base MLP has, because a child could possibly get a little scared if they understood the meaning of what was said in some of the stories, more specifically the second story, very dark. I enjoyed the stores and the artwork, I would most likely check out more MLP graphic novels in the future. View all my reviews

Magic Words: From the Ancient Oral Tradition of the Inuit by Vanita Oelschlager My rating: 3 of 5 stars Beautifully, beautifully illustrated. The colors just jump off the pages. Magic Words is a poem which has been translated from Inuit, it is very short and simple. But yet it's message and meaning are far from it. The mind is magical and powerful thing. The words and images work tell a story that when you read it over again you see other things that you never saw the first time through it. Great for Pre-K up through primary aged kids. Never Too Late by Amara Royce My rating: 4 of 5 stars **I would like to thank Kensington Books for providing me with an arc of Never Too Late , via NetGalley** Lord Devin has been given the job of investigating Honoria Duchamp and the controversial pamphlets she's been printing. Honoria is a widow and the owner of Evans Books, she has also has gotten the attention of those who would like to see these printings come to and end. Upon being given the assignment, Honoria Duchamp was not at all what Lord Devin expected. She is not at all the bookish matron he envisioned, but a smart and beautiful woman. Now there is more then just her pamphlets he would like to investigate. I found myself rather taken with both Honoria and Lord Devin. Tiger in My Soup by Kashmira Sheth My rating: 4 of 5 stars Tiger in My Soup by Kashmira Sheth is a delightful tale of a boy with a vivid imagination who while being babysat by his big sister, is shocked to find a tiger in his soup. He wants is his sister to read his book to him, but the sister would like to just get lost in her own reading. The boy decides to read it on his own, a book that happens to be about tigers in the jungle. Children will enjoy looking at the illustrations as this story is being read to or read by them. So much is told through the images, all while his sister is in her own little world. It is a cute story that I think all young children and parents will enjoy. Easy to understand, with words simple enough for children just learning to read, to be able to read it by themselves. The Librarian by Logan Belle My rating: 3 of 5 stars Regina's dream and goal in life was to become a librarian for the New York Public Library. She is quite and keeps to herself, hasn't really date much and in fact is still a virgin. Always putting her studies first when she was growing up. Sebastian, is a rich and handsome photographer. From the moment he see's Regina he wants her, he wants to dominate her. After reading the blurb of this book I had high exceptions of it. I hate to say it but they were not met, not saying I didn't enjoy reading it but it was lacking something. The beast: Hauk, a former American solder who, after a fire in Afghanistan, is horribly scarred. Beauty: Joile, a student, and burlesque dancer. In the beginning of this book there is a very hot sexual encounter, I assumed would set the tone for the rest of this book, I couldn't be more wrong. But really that was fine with me because we were given the chance to watch Hauk and Jolie's friendship develop and a trust build.
