The Claiming Words by Tricia Drammeh My rating: 2 of 5 stars *Warning slight spoilers* First of all I would like to say thank you to Tricia Drammeh for this copy of The Claiming Words , given in exchange for an honest review. There is potential for this book, people will like it, but sad to say I was not one of them. Don't get me wrong I didn't hate it, there are parts I didn't mind, I like Bryce, I like Alisa. The Claiming Words is told from the point of view of two characters, Rachel and Alisa. When reading the two it felt like I was reading two different pieces of work. The Alisa chapters being enjoyable, with some amusing moments. But then when it came time for the Rachel ones there seemed to a switch. If felt different. Murder on the Rocks by Karen MacInerney My rating: 4 of 5 stars I haven't really read that many cozy mysteries, and I found Murder on the Rocks to be rather enjoyable. Set in a small town in Maine, Cranberry Island. Natalie Barnes is one of the newer residents of Cranberry Island is the owner and innkeeper of the Gray Whale Inn, a bed and breakfast. Even thought she's made friends with many of the the folk who live on the island, there are some who are quick to snub and judge when a murder takes place. So on top of running her inn, baking her many goodies for the townsfolk she has a mystery to solve. This was a delightful little story and I found it cute that the author had the recipes for the baked goods that Natalie prepares at the end of the book. Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between by J.A. Saare My rating: 5 of 5 stars Rhiannon is great, she has this take no shit attitude. Which is her mask, her wall so to speak. She has a lot hidden things in her past, she's gone through so much pain. At first I wasn't a fan of how she treated and acted around Disco, but as the story went on things changed, her trust grew. Her lack of trust is understandable based on her past and well because hello vampire. Speaking of Disco, hello new book boyfriend. Forever and Always by Jennifer McNare My rating: 3 of 5 stars I was given this book by the author for review. Rating: 3.5 My feelings about this book are mixed. On one hand I enjoyed the story. But then on the other I was annoyed with it. Nicholas, for lack of a better word, is a jerk. Who is stuck in the past, I understand he hasn't had the best experiences with females, his mother leaving them, his former fiancee cheating and having most women just throw themselves at him in the hopes of becoming the next Duchess of Sethe. But past experiences aside it doesn't excuse his actions. He is quick to temper without asking or thinking. Ashleigh St. John, is a reckless spitfire who is very forgiving, but I feel too forgiving. As I was glaring at Nicholas I couldn't help but think, oh Ashleigh don't be a fool, stop forgiving him. Out of all the characters, the ones I enjoyed the most who be ones were in it the least, Brendan and Alex. I would have liked to read more of them...

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor My rating: 4 of 5 stars I really liked this book, original and different. The second half dragged a little for me. But over all the story was great. Slammed by Colleen Hoover My rating: 5 of 5 stars Trying to gather my thoughts to write this, it's hard to do with tears flowing down my over my cheeks. This book is unbelievably to good to be true. I just loved it. This book, it made me feel so much emotion. I've smiled, laughed, glared, swooned, and cried while reading this. Collen Hoover has written one of those rare books that hooks you and makes feel everything because the characters are written so well that you can not help but fall in love, feel their pain, and smile when they do.
