Bloodlust & Bonnets by Emily McGovern My rating: 5 of 5 stars Bloodlust & Bonnet's is a delightful graphic novel about a girl named Lucy but if you asked Lord Byron he would tell you it was about him. Lucy is a bored debutante who has gotten the attention of Lady Violet Travesty a vampire and is on a mission to find her, not to slay as she has misinformed Lord Byron but in the hopes of becoming her side kick. Through out their journeying we encounter many characters, and all have their own agendas despite what has been told to each other. I loved this. From the diverse group of characters, the story and the graphics themselves. So if you like adventure, never knowing what's going on, narcissistic poets, rebellious debutantes, bounty hunters, talking magic castles and well vampires, also humor can't forget humor then check this out. At Grave's End by Jeaniene Frost My rating: 5 of 5 stars Another fantastic book in ever growing fantastic series. Spike ;) I mean Bones is just as perfect as ever. James Marsters is MY Bones. I could gush about   Jeaniene Frost s Night Huntress books. They just get better and better. At Grave's End delivers as promised, it is intense, action packed. HOT! Humor filled, and heartbreaking.  It didn't disappoint. We get to meet some great and not so great figures of importance. (view spoiler) [Good ol' Drac himself, just don't call him that. ;) (hide spoiler) ] . I DO have some issues with some characters, or rather character, Tate. I'm over his "feelings" for Cat, dude needs to realize she is happy with Bones and time to move on. Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris My rating: 3 of 5 stars So I go and pick up this book, I'm pumped. So very excited to be getting back to Sookie and Eric ( wipes drool off my chin). So picture if you will, I have the bottle of red open. I am all cozy and set to read. I stop and go "hmmm". Shake it off as the normal okay we are at the start of the book lets recap for those who might not remember. So I take some more sips and continue on. Stopping yet again, I go "hmm, um, yeah". We are hitting somewhere past the 100 mark and I'm getting a little worried, did I pay for a book that is just recap, recap, recap, filler words to take up space, recap?? I"m starting to think I did. Then FINALLY we start to get somewhere, it only took the better part of the book to do so, but at this point I'm happy and looking forward to the action. And next thing I knew it was over and I was left lying here feeling used and very unsatisfied. I don't want to say this...

Kiss of Midnight by Lara Adrian My rating: 4 of 5 stars Kiss of Midnight was a great book, reminded me of J.R. Ward 's Black Dagger Brotherhood series, which is a complement. I personally found this book to be better then the first BDB. I really enjoyed this story, there was an *eye-roll* moment close to the end that got me thinking, "oh yes the typical such and such scene" but I can over look it, the book was never claiming to be an original in the genre. Lara Adrian 's take on the history of vampires is the twist which gives it its own uniqueness that makes it stand on its own two feet from the others. I had many "oh shit" moments and many surprises where I thought I knew but I didn't, I was close but completely shocked. Do I even need to ask this? Will I be reading the next book? Hell yes! Immortal Prophecy by Samantha Adams My rating: 3 of 5 stars *Given a copy for an honest review* 3.5 Stars Ally is the so called "prophecy girl", half immortal half human (which at first she doesn't know). The story opens 5 years in the past, Ally and her best friend Kat are going to see a fortune teller. She is told that she will have two men in her life, one James an immortal, her soul mate and protector and the other Vincent who is determent to kill her. Because she is suppose to be the one to stop him. She is also told she will know when it is all to start when two people in her life dies. The next day, it has begun. Immortals are beings that are here to protect humans from evil, the evil being vampires. Ally is meant rise up and lead them and defeat Vincent. I enjoyed the story, there is much potential for this series. Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between by J.A. Saare My rating: 5 of 5 stars Rhiannon is great, she has this take no shit attitude. Which is her mask, her wall so to speak. She has a lot hidden things in her past, she's gone through so much pain. At first I wasn't a fan of how she treated and acted around Disco, but as the story went on things changed, her trust grew. Her lack of trust is understandable based on her past and well because hello vampire. Speaking of Disco, hello new book boyfriend. Loved this book, great start to what I hope will be a fantastic series. And the ending, wow. Soooo can't wait to read the next book. View all my reviews

Beneath A Blood Red Moon by Shannon Drake My rating: 4 of 5 stars This book has been in my book case for YEARS!!!! Just never gotten around to reading it, like so many of my other books, especially the older ones. You know how it is, a new book comes out and you want to read them. It is very easy to tell that this book was written in the 90s. Not that this is a bad thing, it's the type of vampire novel that gotten me into the PNR. Something that I really liked was how both Countess Elizabeth Báthory and Jack the Ripper were both mentioned(both who I am very fascinated with), Jack more so but for reason I won't get into because I'm not in a use spoiler kind of mood. An ability that she doesn't really know the full extent off. Until one day she hears the thoughts of the very sexy, yet annoying (to her) newest co-worker. Dr. Zane Marshall is new to Plum City Wildlife Park who has his special ability, other then being the rescuer of Chloe, he is a werewolf. He's been sent there to check out the murders that have been taking place to young males between the ages 18 and 35. Lover Revealed by J.R. Ward My rating: 4 of 5 stars I liked this book, it was a little slow starting for me because it had been so long since I had read the last book in the series. So as things happened or people came on the scene I would pause and start to remember bits on the previous books. I flip flopped so many times with Marissa. One minute I liked her the next I wanted to just glare at her. Same for Butch, he's not getting off the hook that easy. Both of them frustrated me over and over. But I still liked them both. Bait by Annie Nicholas My rating: 4 of 5 stars Connie, hunts vampires, but not in the traditional sense. She doesn't do the actual slaying, she works on a team and her job is bait. She's an attractive little blonde who is sent out to clubs in the search of vampires. Once she makes contact with her target she lures them some place private, and that is when the "action" happens. The Night Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko My rating: 4 of 5 stars This book makes you ask questions and ponder things like, what is truth. It makes you think, while neatly wrapped up in the world of magics, light and dark. Destiny, are all things known, can you change it? Your actions maybe able to bend things, or at least lead you to believe they do when in the grand scheme of things, you are just a mere little player, a pawn. The Night Watch was a fantastic book, I enjoyed that it was broken down into 3 stories within. But all 3 played an important role to the next. Pleasure Unbound by Larissa Ione My rating: 4 of 5 stars 4 and 1/2 stars. I must explain why I never gave it full 5 stars. The start I wasn't really sure how much I was going to enjoy it. When Tayla was called a buffy, I thought it was cute. But I'm not going to lie after it was used a few times over it did get a tad annoying, hey I love buffy but it felt overused at the start. Which is something that was making me unsure about the book. Made me wonder if things were just going to be repeated over and over. Also I just wasn't feeling it, at one point I thought maybe I should put this aside and read it again at a later date, funny I know seeing how I devoured it once I got into it. Once I hit the 65 pageish mark I couldn't get enough of it. I would sit and get like 20 pages read before I would notice that I had. Glad I stuck with it because this book was fantastic and I'm looking forward to reading more of this series and the authors writing. View all my reviews...
