A Moment (Moments, #1) by Marie Hall

Image
A Moment by Marie Hall My rating: 4 of 5 stars Ryan is a local fighter, an ex Marine with a secret so dark it haunts him almost nightly. Especially on Valentines Day, that is the one day of the year he goes out and drinks and drinks, hoping to drown away the pain. He is so broken, he thinks he is beyond repair. Lili, a single mother and collage student, has had a hard life. Her mother is dying, her son, 7 is autistic and she feels that she doesn't love her. She's trying her best to take care of both of them while working and going to school. She doesn't really get time for herself, doesn't make time for herself. Ryan thinks he can't be fixed, Lili hopes to be the one to fix him. But the fear of last Valentines Days is always there in the back of her mind, is he  too broken for her to try. While I enjoyed reading A Moment, somethings felt like they were missing. Just a few things I would have liked to see addressed. They weren't major story altering thi...

This Girl (Slammed, #3) by Colleen Hoover

Image
This Girl by Colleen Hoover My rating: 5 of 5 stars How do you put into words these feelings. I laughed... I cried... I fell in love... I took comfort... This Girl is book three of Colleen Hoovers Slammed series. It starts where Point of Retreat leaves off. Will and Lake are on their honeymoon, she wants to know how he felt during moments in their relationship. So she asks him to tell all, the good and the bad. We've all done this to a significant other at some point, "tell me what you thought/felt the first time we met/kiss/etc" It's a recapping of the events in Slammed . But it's HIS side of the story, his thoughts and feelings. Because every tale has two sides and in life we normally only get to witness the one. On top of seeing his view on their relationship, we get his story out side it and other key moments in his life..... we get to know Will. We get his turmoil, his inner war that takes place. We are given the chance to see his struggl...

Never Too Far (Too Far, #2) by Abbi Glines

Never Too Far by Abbi Glines My rating: 4 of 5 stars Read on April 23, 2013 Never Too Far picks up just shortly after Fallen Too Far has left off. And I am so glad I waited to read them closer together. BUT NOW I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL LATE SUMMER FOR BOOK 3!!! Like the last book this one was just as frustrating and just as fantastic. A little more serious, a little more grown up. More secrets, more lies. So many times I thought "please don't be stupid, please don't fuck this up". I want to say a few things about the side characters. Bethy, has turned out to be a great friend for Blaire and I'm really happy  how things have turned out good for her. I hope to see more of her in future books. In Fallen Too Far I liked Grant, I thought he was really sweet he was the nice guy to Rush's bad boy image. I liked him more then I liked Woods, this time around I found it the opposite. I still think Grant is great, I was just happy to see a certain side of...

Fallen Too Far (Too Far, #1) by Abbi Glines

Image
Fallen Too Far by Abbi Glines My rating: 4 of 5 stars *Warning slight spoilers* Blaire is a 19 year old girl who has seen some real pain and loss. But she is strong and will not crumble, she will not let herself even if on the inside the ache is there.   She is all she has. After her mothers death, she has to sell her home in order to cover the medical bills that three years of treatment built up. The only family she has is her father, the father she hasn't seen or heard from since he walked out on her and her mother five years ago. Even when her momma was dying there was no word. With nothing but her old truck, 20 bucks to her name and a gun for protection she has no other choice then to turn to him. When she finally arrives what she gets isn't what she expected. Rush is a cocky sob with a sweet side, who has issues like all the bad boys in these new adult books. And I can not seem to get enough of them, I've always been attracted to that head tilt, grin, arched eyebrow,...

My Favorite Mistake (My Favorite Mistake, #1) by Chelsea M. Cameron

Image
My Favorite Mistake by Chelsea M. Cameron My rating: 4 of 5 stars *So I had this big whole review wrote up and well poof it's gone. Taylor and Hunter are roommates along with two other girls, to him he has hit the jackpot. To Taylor she wants him gone now. She wants him gone before he even showed up, there has to be a mistake, he's well a he. And a cocky know it all who doesn't call her by her real name and well lucky for her it's her room he's sharing. They both have their secrets, they both push each other away when they seem to be heading in direction of them. They defect, the snap, they don't talk. When I first started reading this, Hunter and Taylor annoyed me. But as I continued reading they started to grow on me, especially Hunter. I love the banter between those two, to quote Renee (roommate) "You guys eye f**k each other every second you can". Makes me think of Def Leppards, When Love and Hate Collide View all my reviews

Slammed by Colleen Hoover

Image
Slammed by Colleen Hoover My rating: 5 of 5 stars Trying to gather my thoughts to write this, it's hard to do with tears flowing down my over my cheeks. This book is unbelievably to good to be true. I just loved it. This book, it made me feel so much emotion. I've smiled, laughed, glared, swooned, and cried while reading this. Collen Hoover has written one of those rare books that hooks you and makes feel everything because the characters are written so well that you can not help but fall in love, feel their pain, and smile when they do. Definitely one of my top favorites of 2012. View all my reviews
