Tammara, would rather spend her time reading rather then going out and being social. In fact some days she can finish 3 novels. It's her escape. Books don't cause her pain, they are always there for her when she needs them.

This is why I'd rather read! Real people come with too much bullshit.

Ronni, her best friend decides it's time Tammara gets her nose out of her books and starts living at little. And now is the perfect time to do it, spring break. So being the best friend that she is she convinces Tamara, to spend spring break with her in  Maverick Bay.

And it just so happens that the Maverick's Surf Invitational, takes place at the same time. A surfing competition that is organized by a fellow college student, Xavier, who's had his eye on Tammara for a few weeks now. An eye that she's never noticed because of her getting lost in her books.

So of course I could relate to Tammare being a huge bookworm myself, and well I also enjoy the company of the written word over most people. But she's a little more extreme them me. One conversation where she can narrow down a scene in a book by the page number seemed a tad bit much. I like how she is the average woman physically, and she doesn't try to make herself to be anything but.

And I have to admit that there was a little bit of creep factor going on, I won't lie. But it was kinda cute and romantic at the same time. But hey if a guy went out of his way for me like that I think it would be pretty darn cool.

Romancing the Bookworm for me was a very humorous take on all of us crazy readers out there. With sayings like "sexy times". But other then the bookworm aspect I enjoyed seeing Tammara, branching out and wanting to do other things besides sit in her room reading.
