The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks

Image
The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks My rating: 4 of 5 stars I knew when I started to read this that at some point I was going to need a box of tissues. It got to a point that I actually had to take a break from reading because my eyes were sore from crying, I was debating finishing it. Not because it wasn't a good book but because if I stopped Steve would not die, if I continued on and finished he would. I enjoyed this book even if it did start to emotionally drain me. Sex and the Psychic Witch by Annette Blair

Image
Sex and the Psychic Witch by Annette Blair My rating: 4 of 5 stars I was actually surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. If you where to ignore all the sexual innuendos (and why would you ;) )and just looked at the story line it was really interesting and had my attention. View all my reviews

Happy Hour of the Damned (Amanda Feral, #1)

Image
Happy Hour of the Damned by Mark Henry My rating: 3 of 5 stars The start of this book really bugged me. I found the author was trying way to hard to come across as funny, I decided to read more to give him a chance. I'm not sure if it got better (the humor attempt that is)or I just got used to his style. I will admit there were a few times I found myself laughing/smirking at things as I got further into it. The story it's self was alright, it was my first zombie main character book so it was different from my normal urban fantasy. Will I go out and get the next book? I don't really know, most likely not. If I see it used somewhere for cheap perhaps but I never once got attached to anyone in this book so chances are that this will be the end of the road for me and this zombie chick. But who knows. Dead Witch Walking (The Hollows, #1)

Image
Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison My rating: 4 of 5 stars Great read, but felt like I'm missing something, things get mentioned but nothing comes of it. Spoiler: Why does Nick say that Ivy has been living in the church the whole time, when others say she moved in the same day as Rachel. Why did the FIB guy think they knew who Nick was. The second of the two things I'm guessing will come up in within the next few books. I just hope the first thing get's explained. View all my reviews
