Alex by Adam J. Nicolai My rating: 4 of 5 stars *Warning slight spoilers* This was a emotionally hard book for me. I don't do well with books that involve children being hurt or dying. I still read them even if I know I'll have an ache in my heart. Ian has lost his child, his wife has moved out, his work is suffering and now it seems he is on the verge of losing his mind. Or is he?? His son was kidnapped and murdered, and while it seems like the world can pick up the pieces and try to move forward Ian can't, not yet. Ian has a battle going on in his head, one side is telling him, he is crazy and that it is just his grief projecting Alex around. The little bits of conversations being ones that had taken place when he was alive. Then there is that other side that arguing what if he really is there? What if Alex is coming back for a reason? Chased by Moonlight by Nancy Gideon My rating: 5 of 5 stars Book one was fantastic and book two did not disappoint at all. I couldn't put it down, any chance I got read I took it. We pick up were we left off in CeeCee and Max's relationship. Which is still a rather odd pairing, shifter mob boss and a human cop. I can't wait to see more of their tale unfold. We get more of Max's story in this one, which is rather interesting, and I am soooo looking forward to reading the rest of this series. View all my reviews

I Kissed a Dog by Carol Van Atta My rating: 4 of 5 stars Chloe Carpenter has a unique ability she can communicate with animals, not in words so much, but she can read the thoughts as a series of images. An ability that she doesn't really know the full extent off. Until one day she hears the thoughts of the very sexy, yet annoying (to her) newest co-worker. Dr. Zane Marshall is new to Plum City Wildlife Park who has his special ability, other then being the rescuer of Chloe, he is a werewolf. He's been sent there to check out the murders that have been taking place to young males between the ages 18 and 35. Thinking someone who he knows, but someone he doesn't want anything to do with, is the reason behind them all. There is so much promise for this series, but I won't lie there were parts that irked me. Chosen by P.C. Cast My rating: 5 of 5 stars Jeepers this book. So yay Stevie Rae isn't undead anymore, what she is I dunno. But she's not a gross smelly "monster". Loren Blake oh why oh why did he have to turn out to be a bad guy. I was so giddy during his scenes, swooning and sqweeeing.
