Scrap by Emory Sharplin My rating: 4 of 5 stars There is a little town called Hellip, which is part of King Ibis's empire. He is a cruel and hateful man. His time on the thrown seems endless. In this town is a little girl, an orphan named Tucker. Who works as a bakers apprentice, she survives with the help of the other orphans and by stealing things from her work when the baker isn't looking. Her and her fellow orphans sometime pass the time telling stories, a popular one being about the missing daughter of the king and wondering what happened to her.   So dare you sing the rebels tune For his daughters rising soon We dare you sing the rebels tune If his daughters rising soon. One day while working a mysterious woman, Vivian leaves a gift for Tucker and from then on her life as she knew it to be changes. I REALLY liked this book. The Demented Adventures of Princess Pertties by K.D. Montgomery My rating: 3 of 5 stars Pertties thinks she is just a normal girl, well normal enough. She has no idea who she is or where she came from, she has no memories except for the past 5 years. After being discovered on the side of the road at the age of 11 by the man, who now with his wife, are taking care of her. The only thing connecting her to who she is, was a silver bracelet with her name on it, Pertties. That and the nightmares.. She goes to school and has a job at the towns only fast food restaurant, she's saving up. She's going to get out of this small town one of these days. Falling into the earth into what appeared to be an underground city wasn't exactly what she had in mind. With the help of Demented, a troll, and apparent friend from the past. They escape the underground city and the evil enchantress and onto to adventure. I enjoyed this book, I found it well written and interesting. When Pertt

Mannequin by Olivia Best My rating: 3 of 5 stars OMG wait what? How dare you just end like that! Talk about cliffhanger ending. In Mannequin we see the less then glamours side to modeling. Elodie is a 19 year old model living in Manhattan, she shares an apartment with other models. As we see her going out to clubs and castings Elodie starts to wonder if modeling s really something she wants to do in life. A thought that makes more of an presence after meeting James. James is a young banker who wants to take things slow due to his past. And he is afraid to do anything that will ruin any potential relationship with Elodie. But can James make her happy? There is always Tyler, a male model who she has history with and is making an appearance back into her life. A very short book, I feel too short to be left hanging the way we are.It makes me a little frustrated that I need to go out an get the second book to find out what happens. It's going to be one of those series that

And that's just the start of her problems, she has now been presented with a temporary restraining order (TRO has Rosie likes to call it). She's not stalking, she swears all she wanted to do was say she was sorry for blowing up his car. So now all Rosie needs to keep away from Joey. How hard can that be? Matty her next door neighbor/ basically member of the family suggests she come with him and his friends on a cross country road trip. Her parents agree it's for the best because keeping her as far away from Joey is the most important thing, even if it means traveling alone with 3 guys. I knew from the opening line that I was going to enjoy this book. I
