Grave Witch (Alex Craft, #1) by Kalayna Price

Image
Grave Witch by Kalayna Price My rating: 5 of 5 stars So wow Grave Witch, an urban fantasy with out vampires or werewolves. Kind of refreshing, not saying anything bad about the vampires and weres just nice to read something different. I really enjoy my urban fantasy's that involve magics, and this one is different then ones I have read before. A Grave Witch is what Alex Craft is, she has the ability to raise the dead, well a shade of their former self. Her clients tend to be people wanting to find out information on family history/ wills disputes etc. But she also works with the police/DA in murder cases, finding how they died and who killed them. Definitely have a new book crush to add to the ever growing list of fictional characters I'm getting giddy over, Falin. Oh my, love how he is so sure of himself, his cockiness, the eye brow arch, LOVE it!!! *Swoon* And then you have Death, who I can't wait to learn more about. I'm sensing he's going to be the romantic

Oh, Cherry Ripe by Claudy Conn

Oh, Cherry Ripe by Claudy Conn My rating: 4 of 5 stars I rather enjoyed this story. Cherry is a strong spirited heroine, I loved the banter and playfulness between both her and Sky. I will admit some things had me laughing when I'm not particularly sure they where meant too. View all my reviews

War Memorial: A Short Story by Elisabeth Grace Foley

Image
War Memorial: A Short Story by Elisabeth Grace Foley My rating: 4 of 5 stars A sweet little story that takes place during the battle of Gettysburg and in 1946. The family is enjoying a nice evening together, when all of a sudden the power goes out. With this in the search for some matches they come across a little bullet in there grandmothers old box. This bullet has it's own story that the father then shares with them all. View all my reviews

Inside Out (Insider, #1) by Maria V. Snyder

Image
Inside Out by Maria V. Snyder My rating: 4 of 5 stars 4 1/2 stars. I haven't really read many dystopian novels, so this was a nice change for me. When I had first started I was unsure if I was going to like it but as I got further into it I hooked. Trella, the "Queen of the Pipes" as her fellow srubs call her, did not believe that there was something else, something/place better, the gateway as they call it. In her mission to prove it's non-existence or even existence, meets Riley, an upper, and discovers that what she has always believed isn't what it seems. Still some stones uncovered, really looking forward to reading the next book. Definitely a book I can see me re-reading, need to pick up physical copy. View all my reviews

Abandoned Angel by Kayden Lee

Image
Abandoned Angel by Kayden Lee My rating: 4 of 5 stars Where do I begin. This book made me feel so many different emotions. From complete disgust and pure hate to breaking my heart. There were moments when I physically felt ill because of the abuse in this book, I was scared for Angelina and my heart ached for her. At times I would think why am I continuing, this is just too much. But I had to, I was on edge, Kayden Lee held my attention from the very start. I will definitely be checking out her other books once they are released. View all my reviews

Pleasure Unbound (Demonica, #1) by Larissa Ione

Image
Pleasure Unbound by Larissa Ione My rating: 4 of 5 stars 4 and 1/2 stars. I must explain why I never gave it full 5 stars. The start I wasn't really sure how much I was going to enjoy it. When Tayla was called a buffy, I thought it was cute. But I'm not going to lie after it was used a few times over it did get a tad annoying, hey I love buffy but it felt overused at the start. Which is something that was making me unsure about the book. Made me wonder if things were just going to be repeated over and over. Also I just wasn't feeling it, at one point I thought maybe I should put this aside and read it again at a later date, funny I know seeing how I devoured it once I got into it. Once I hit the 65 pageish mark I couldn't get enough of it. I would sit and get like 20 pages read before I would notice that I had. Glad I stuck with it because this book was fantastic and I'm looking forward to reading more of this series and the authors writing. View all my reviews

Cherry On Top by Kathleen Long

Image
Cherry On Top by Kathleen Long My rating: 4 of 5 stars I don't normally read straight up contemporary romance, I really liked the humor and sense of mystery that was in this one. Loved the attraction and banter between Cherry and Luke. Gramps was a hoot and a half, I kept on picturing the Fraser's dad for his character. View all my reviews

The Vampire's Warden (Undead in Brown County, #1) by S.J. Wright

Image
The Vampire's Warden by S.J. Wright My rating: 3 of 5 stars I've given this a 3 star because the story is interesting and it has a lot of potential. I was debating 2 because it felt off to me/rushed/unanswered. After I read the bonus of the next book I'll see if I want to read the second, because I hate leaving things unanswered.
